Jerome Corliss Obituary
Jerome Gayle Corliss, loving husband, father, grandfather and brother entered Heaven's gates on October 6, 2013 at the age of 66. He is preceded in death by father, James L. Corliss Sr., mother, Mary Lee Corliss and sister Barbara Lee (Corliss) Pelham. Survivors include his wife of 45 years Barbara (Cole) Corliss and sons; Jerry and wife Monica, Bryan and wife Elisha. He will also be fondly remembered by his grandchildren; Blake, Hunter and Kayleigh; his brother, James L Corliss, Jr. and wife Pat; and his Aunt Martha (Deckert) and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and a host of friends. Jerome was born January 26, 1947 in San Antonio and graduated from Harlandale High School in 1965. He served his country in the U.S. Army. He was a dedicated member of the I.B.E.W. Local Union 60 for over 45 years. He also worked for over 15 years at Kelly AFB. He was employed by Alterman Electric at the time of his death. Jerome was a member of Castroville First Baptist Church. He loved to fish, hunt and watch the wildlife from his front porch.
Visitation will be on Thursday, October 10, 2013 from 4:00 - 7:00 pm with service to follow at Crossroads Community Church, 5834 Ray Ellison Dr. SA, TX 78242. There will be a short visitation at Mission Park South from 9:00 - 9:45 am on Friday, October 11, 2013. Procession from the funeral home to Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery will depart at 10:00 am for graveside service.
