Jean Haulsee Obituary
Jean M. Haulsee. 79, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 19, 2014. She was
born on May 10, 1934 in Mt. Carmel, Pennsylvania to
Joseph John Matejcik and
Alexandria Zulick. Jean is survived by her two sons; Mark E. Haulsee and Donald C. Haulsee and wife Dawn; grandchildren Donald C. Haulsee II, Christine Emily Haulsee and Candace Marie Edwards and four great-grandchildren. For many years, Jean was a military wife and lived in Bremerhaven, Germany and Iraklion on the Greek island of Crete, eventually arriving in San Angelo, Texas where she resided until 1973. Jean moved to San Antonio that year, continued her education, and began her own career with the U.S. Air Force at Security Hill at Lackland AFB. Retiring honorably after over 22 years of distinguished service. Jean was most proud of her military career. She retained ties with
her co-workers, corresponded and met with them as often as possible. Jean also joined a group of folks having coffee outings at a local grocery's deli. This coffee group became her best friends for many, many years and she treasured those friendships. Jean was a supporter of the Feral Cat Coalition of San Antonio, Animal Defense League of San Antonio and she gave freely to many charitable organizations in her effort to assist others
whenever possible. Any memorials in Jean's name should be made to the or the Animal Defense League of San Antonio. Jean was a super mother, a really good woman and just an all around great human being who made the whole world a better place. Everyone who knew Jean will know to celebrate her life and not mourn her death.
