Mary Cadena Obituary
A beloved daughter, sister, Tía, niece and friend to all, Mary Cadena went to our Heavenly Father on February 11, 2014. She was born on February 5, 1959, in San Antonio, Texas. Mary served the Texas Air Force National Guard for 8 years. She worked for the Federal Government for 35 years in the Cryptologic Cyber Syster Division as a Logistics Manager. Mary is preceded in death by her parents, Manuel M. Cadena Jr. and Victoria S. Cadena; her sister, Dolores Arsate; and niece, Rowena Arsate. She is loved and will be missed by her brothers, Danny (Esther) Cadena, Manuel Cadena III, David (Diana) Cadena, Victor (Nicole) Cadena and Oscar (Cindy) Cadena; her sisters, Dora Hernandez, Concha (Rudy Sr.) Niño, Elizabeth (Mike) Avila, Beatrice (Valdo) Castillo and Melinda Huerta; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Visitation will be held at Castillo Mission Funeral Home from 1 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Thursday, February 20, 2014, with Military Honors scheduled for 6:30 p.m. and a Rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. Funeral Procession departs the Funeral Home at 9:15 a.m. on Friday, February 21, 2014, for a 10 a.m. Memorial Mass at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 7893 Grissom Road, 78251. A private burial is scheduled for a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Breast Cancer Organization. Services under the direction of Castillo Mission Funeral Home.
