TUCKER Doris Mae Tucker was born on September 11, 1931 to Julius Frank and Frances Henrietta Janecka in Cistern, Tx, passed away Saturday, March 8, 2014 at the age of 82. She moved to Fort Worth, TX and there she meet her future life partner Lancel John Tucker. They married in 1948, moved to Alice, TX then San Antonio. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and two children, Ferdie and Denise. She worked as a hairdresser and receptionist. She was involved in the church and her children's school activities. She loved Czech music, dancing, horse racing, bunco, and Christmas decorating. Doris is survived by her brother, Lawrence Janecka (Bernice); sister, Lois West; sister-in-laws, Juanita Janecka, Frances Janecka, Dorothy Tucker, and Sue Tucker; brother-in-law, CE Stell; daughters, Patricia Tracy, Tina Thompson (Fred), and Margaret Koch; son, Lancel John Tucker Jr. (Karen); grandsons, Deuce, Chase, Oscar (Tammy), John, Michael (Usa), and Justin; granddaughter, Christina Lynn; 4 great granddaughters, Ashleigh, Mina, Kaya, and Ariya; great grandson, Brennan; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and close family friends. The family wishes to give heartfelt gratitude to Dr. William Wu (Doris respected him immensely). Thank you Dr. Wu, you are a gift to your profession. Also thanks to the nurses at DTBMH 5th floor Telementry for your compassion and understanding.
Services
Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at Dellcrest Funeral Home with the Holy Rosary to begin at 7:00 pm. Funeral Mass will be at 11:30 am Thursday, March 13, 2014 at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church with entombment to follow at the Holy Cross Mausoleum.
