Robert Chaffin Obituary
Robert Michael Chaffin, age 54, passed away March 16, 2014. He was born on May 12, 1959 in San Antonio, Texas. He served in the U.S. Army (6 years) and then retired from the U.S. Air Force after 20 years of dedicated service. He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie J.C. and Rita Mae Chaffin, brother, Willie Jr. and a sister, Rita Rodriguez. Robert is survived by his wife, Annette Chaffin; children Elsa M. (James Brooks) Cardenas, Christopher (Tabitha) Chaffin, Albert Chaffin, Bryan Chaffin; grandchildren, James Jr., Lauren, Maegan and Jacob Brooks, James Chaffin; sister, Ethel (Aubrey) Red, Mary (Jerry Rivas) Chaffin; brothers, Douglas (Kathy) Chaffin, John (Laura) Chaffin, Joseph (Veronica) Chaffin; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home on Bandera Road on Sunday, March 23, 2014 from 6:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. with a rosary at 7:00 P.M. The funeral procession will depart the funeral home on Monday, March 24, 2014 at 10:30 am for an 11:00 A.M. mass at St. Anthony Mary Claret Catholic Church, 6150 Roft Road. Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery with Air Force Military Honors. Expressions of sympathy may be made at www.sunsetnwfuneralhome.com
