He served in the Finance Department at Hickman Field, Honolulu, Hawaii, U.S. Army. After the end of the war, he worked Civil Service at Randolph AFB. Pryor was later named 3510 Flying Training Wing Budget Officer where he served many years, retiring in 1978 after 39 years of government service. After retirement, he and his wife, Eleanor operated a small farm and ranch in Karnes County where they raised cattle. They also enjoyed traveling in their RV. He served as Trustee of the Texas Dad's Association, Texas Tech University from 1972 to 1976. Pryor also served as Trustee of Randolph Field Independent School District from 1977 until retirement. General USAF Commander Air Training Command. He served as assistant Scout Master of Troop 88, St. Luke's Episcopal Church under James Montgomery. He was awarded the Order of the Arrow. We went on many camp outs and training missions. He became a member of the Supervisory Committee, Randolph-Brooks Federal Credit Union and served for 33 plus years watching the credit union grow and prosper from a small union to a great financial institution. Being a member and assisting was his pride and joy. The Credit Union personnel were the best. He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Eleanor and his grandson, Sean Kellam. Pryor is survived by his son, Pryor M. Boyce III and his wife, Annette; his daughter, Patricia Dumont and her husband, Jim Dumont and granddaughter, Tiffany Dumont.
