Regina Garcia-Perales Obituary
Regina Marie Garcia Perales, beloved wife of James Perales unexpectedly passed on May 31, 2014. She was born on March 7, 1967 and was preceded in death by her grandparents, Ernest and Trinidad Rodriguez, and grandfather Cipriano Garcia.
Regina is also survived by her parents, Joe and Olga Garcia, brother Ernest Garcia, mother-in-law Rosie Perales sister in law Margaret Perales Graham, and brother in law Robert "Bobby" Perales and grandmother Maria Garcia, numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. She will also be missed by her dogs (her two babies) Jerry "Jerr-Bear" and Jr.
Regina had a passion for Life and was never without a smile. She had a laugh that was contagious. She was a dedicated educator for 13 years in the SAISD District. She touched the lives, minds and hearts of many children at Highland Hills Elementary. She will be truly missed by everyone, " and I mean everyone!'
Visitation will be held Thursday, June 5, 2014 at St. James Catholic Church from 6PM to 8:30PM and the Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:30PM, Gina and James might be 15minutes late. Funeral Mass will be held Friday, June 6, 2014 at St. James Catholic Church at 10AM, followed by interment in Mission Burial Park South.
Donations may be made to Security Service Federal Credit Union to the Gina Garcia Perales Resource Reading Fund to benefit 5TH Grade students at Highland Hills Elementary.

I am very sad to hear the passing of Gina. I had the pleasure of working beside her father who always had great things to say about his wonderful daughter and it is very easy to see that she will be dearly missed. May God bless her family and friends who are grieving over a tragic loss.

My deepest sympathies go out to Garcia & Perales families. I have 4 children (one being a fifth grader) at Highland Hills and I worked with Mrs. Perales as a volunteer. She was one of the nicest & happiest people I've ever met. Her love for her students was easy to see. I know my daughter was very saddened by the loss of her reading teacher. HHE will not be the same without her.

The Garcia Family bring their loved pets to the animal hospital where I work. I am glad to say I know this wonderful family. Gina was always a pleasure to chat with. I enjoyed our conversations about her life, family and her beloved dog children. Olga Garcia is a extra special lady and loves her animal children as well. I am incredibly sad to hear Gina passed away. Gina was way too young to leave this world. Gina will live on in the memories she left behind in all who knew and loved her. My deepest sympathy goes out to all of her family, friends, students and co- workers. We will miss her as well at the animal hospital.
