I´m sad to learn about General Lewis´ passing at this late time in early 2024. I had often thought of and what became of him after he retired in 1975. I´m proud to have served as his aide de camp during his time as Chief/Commander of the Air Force Reserves. I was stationed at Robins AFB and few him many times in the T-39. I fondly remember him and Dorothy during trips to Rome and Oslo. Gordon Bassett, Lt Col, USAF, Retired

Gen. Lewis, you were a great friend to our family and my Father. I enjoyed your stories and I was honored that you spoke at my Dad's funeral. My prayers and thoughts go out to Ingrid at this time of loss. God speed on this next flight. You will be missed, but always remembered for who you were and the incredible things you did for all the Air Force Reserves. I salute you Sir.

My heartfelt sympathies go out to family and friends during this difficult time. I hope that the promise found in 1 Thessalonians 4 : 14 can bring some comfort. Knowing that there is a future for the ones we have lost in death can be so reassuring.
