Kenneth Kelley Obituary

Kelley, Kenneth D. OCEANSIDE -- Kenneth Daniel Kelley was born and raised in Winnetoon, Nebraska on December 6, 1919 to Daniel and Mildred Kelley. He passed away on February 5, 2013 in Oceanside at the age of 93. Kenneth served his country with pride and honor from 1942 to 1972 as a United States Marine. He served during WWII, the Korean War and the Vietnam War, and retired as a Master Gunnery Sergeant. After he retired from the Marine Corps, Ken worked for Civil Service for 10 years on Camp Pendleton. He retired from Civil Service in 1982 and spent his retirement years enjoying friends and playing golf. He is survived by three children, Patricia (Richard) Wayne, Michael Kelley and Gregory Kelley; three grandchildren, Kimberly Papaeliou, David Wayne and April Jennings; and one great-grandson, Joshua Papaeliou. Ken loved his family, his country and the Marine Corps and will be greatly missed. There will be a small private gathering to celebrate his life.
