HALLWARD, PETER MICHAEL Pete Hallward, age 75, died December 1st from complications of cancer. Pete lived in the OB section of San Diego, a place he loved for its funkiness, and proximity to both the ocean and the desert. Pete was a collector and fine craftsman. Pete was predeceased by his father, Michael, his mother Penelope. He is survived by his sister, Penny Gage of Yarmouth, MA.

Wearing your National Guard uniform to go trick or treating when I was eight. Your boots were so big I could hardly walk.
Pheasant hunting in ElCentro. How come you and Fred did all the hunting and I carried the birds?
Fishing in Ensenada. Remember going for muscles on the rocks at El Bufadora and your swim trunks came off? I have a picture somewhere!
Ham radio. The workshop. Building model boats. The yacht basin.
Thanks for the great memories. You always marched to the beat of your own drum!
