Stone, Beth Ann 08/20/1933 ~ 04/18/2013 CARDIFF -- Beth Ann was born in Bend, Oregon and graduated from Bend High School. She attended the University of Oregon in one of the first classes for women. She married and moved to Cardiff in 1954. She worked for the San Dieguito Water District and then the City of Encinitas for 37 years as the bookkeeper and account office manager. She was a Camp Fire Girl as a youth and group leader for many young girls in the Encinitas area and she eventually became an active supporter and board member of Camp Fire San Diego. Until her death she worked as the bookkeeper and Eucharistic Lay Minister taking communion out to those who need it at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church Encinitas. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Chuck Stone; and her children, Gail (Roger) Petty, Mark (Marianne) Byers, Dean (Kathi) Byers, Charles Stone, Martin Stone, Teresa Stone, Richard Stone, Donald Stone, and Joseph Stone; ten grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held at 5 p.m. on Thursday, May 23, 2013 at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, 890 Balour Drive, Encinitas, CA 92024. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: Camp Fire San Diego, PO BOX 3275, San Diego, CA 92163 or St. Andrew's Episcopal Church.
