JERRY was a "TRUE GENTLEMAN". He recruited me to be an SAE pledge in 1955 and upon being the first Patent attorney in the State of Nevada, he applied for many patents for our company - some with my name on them. He was bright sunshine wherever he was and one of the most unselfish person that I have met.

I think of him often.

Very respectfully,

John Kinnear

My Deepest Sympathies to you and your family, Saul

June 20, 2012

We are friends of Jerry's sister, Janice Flood and her husband Pat. We recently saw Janice and she told us that she had lost her brother, Jerry. I went online to see if I could find an obituary and came to this site and learned that he was an extraordinary and beloved person, just like his sister.
We offer our empathy to his family who cannot help but feel this as a great loss and we will keep you in our prayers. Ann & Gary Fairbanks

Jerry and I were in the SAE house in the 50s and have remained friends since then. He was liked by all and always had a smile on his face. He loved to sing and always was our song leader since then.

I remember so well the songs we sang at the reunion last April. He brought out the best in us and covered up the worst in us. He was and is one of a kind and I am so proud to have been his friend and he mine.

He was one of the good ones.

Drea, the Arizona SAE's were so thrilled to see you and Jerry at last April's Old Dogs reunion. He was a big part of our lives in college as our musical leader and fraturnity brother. He will be missed by us one and all. Nancy and I were sorry we were unable to attend Jerry's services, we were attending another brother's (Frank Armstrong) services at exactly the same time. We send our condolences. Craig Berge

Drea, Shawn, Shelby and Shannon, I had the privilege of working for Jerry for several years at Knobbe Martens as his assistant. Jerry was the best. Always positive, loved his family, loved his work and his clients. A true gentleman. Always gave great advice too! My thoughts and prayers are with you.

As a 30-year close friend of Drea's, I was privileged to be able to know Jerry from the time they first met.

Jerry was an old- world gentleman, who meant the world to his wife Drea, and she to him. He was smitten from their first date and proposed within weeks. But Drea moved a little slower. She greatly admired his qualities of intelligence, honor and loyalty, and soon just fell in love with the whole Jerry package.

They married in a lovely ceremony at sea and built a beautiful home together. They loved planning the many trips they took, and brought home many exquisite objects of art and culture from all over the world. They loved to shop together.

They enjoyed going to church, where Jerry sang so beautifully, and where I was so happy to accompany Drea for many of Jerry's solos and duets. I remember they once took a trip where, after finding the church they would attend while there, Jerry, ever the gregarious fellow, so impressed the pastor that he was asked to sing with the choir on Sunday. He did and won many admirers in that town. For Jerry, it was just a lot of fun that made Drea ever so proud.

Jerry was a wonderful skier, and we all had a number of great ski trips together. Jerry bought Drea the most beautiful Valentine-red ski suit, for his ‘sweetheart.'
When we began to day-ski locally, Jerry was tempted to try my favorite pre-ski, calorie-laden breakfast of bacon and egg croissant and gleefully pronounced it “sinfully delicious!”

Jerry and Drea were so well suited for one another, their tastes were similar, their compatibility was complete, their love was precious. He once told me she was the love of his life. And I believe she was. I know she is one of mine.

We shall miss Jerry. We shall miss his enormous energy, his enormous voice, his enormous delight in all things around him. He was a delightful force of nature.

Farewell, my friend. I'll watch over your wife for you …
I know you'll appreciate that.

Jerry Seiler sang in the choral ensembles of the Southern Nevada Musical Arts Society during the decade of the eighties. His wonderful baritone voice and outstanding musicianship contributed mightily to the success of concerts by the Musical Arts Singers and the Musical Arts Chorus during the years he lived in Las Vegas. He was wonderful to work with and a dear friend. Doug Peterson, Music Director/CEO-Southern Nevada Musical Arts Society

I was so sad to learn that Jerry had passed. He was a good man, and as a daughter who lost both parents to cancer, my heart goes out to Shawn, Shelby and Shannon. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
