Betty Jane Westenberger

Westenberger, Betty Jane 12/27/26 ~12/06/13 SAN MARCOS -- Betty was born in St. Louis and moved to San Diego in 1956 with her husband Vern and their three children; Marie, Nancy and Vernon. She and her family lived in Paradise Hills (San Diego) until 1994 then she moved to San Marcos. She and her husband owned Vern's machine shop in Lemon Grove; where Betty did punch press work. After she moved to San Marcos, she volunteered for 15 years at Palomar Hospital where she would sew hand puppets for the kids and heart pillows for others. She also volunteered at St. Marks Ladies auxiliary for many years and helped with the Fiesta. Another project she was proud of was championing the use of military land at Miramar for a National cemetery. She is survived by her three children, five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and two great-great- grandchildren. Services will be held on Friday, December 27th, at 11 a.m. at St. Marks Catholic Church in San Marcos and an interment ceremony at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery at 2:30 p.m. Reception to follow at 2302 Cecelia Terrace San Diego. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Parkinson's Cure. All our love all our life.
