SHERMAN, CAROLYN NAOMI Carolyn Naomi Sherman, 91, born December 15, 1921, in Cleveland, OH, passed away on Thursday, January 10, 2013, with her family by her side, following an extended battle with chronic-obstructive pulmonary disease. She dedicated her life to raising her family and helping others, serving as a nurses aid during World War II and later volunteering at local hospitals and charities. She was preceded in death by two sons, Richard and Michael, and her husband for over 50 years, Armand Roy Sherman. She is survived by two sons, Robert Neil Sherman of Carlsbad, CA, and Lawrence Scott Sherman of Portland, OR, five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held Friday, January 18, 4:15 p.m., at Cypress View Mausoleum, San Diego, CA. A celebration of Carolyn's life will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 19, at Glenview Assisted Living (1950 Calle Barcelona, Carlsbad, CA).
