Bailey, Charles W. "Charlie" 01/04/1929 - 01/28/2013 HARPER, TX -- Charlie passed away from COPD at his daughter's home in Texas. A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, March 17, 2013, at the German American Club, 1017 S. Mollison Ave., El Cajon, CA. (830) 459-8001. "Charlie" was born to Laurelle and Newton Bailey, and was raised by Frank and Lulu Kaiser. He spent the majority of his life in Eatern San Diego County. He is survived by first wife Phyllis and sister Virginia (Ginny) Raab. He left quite a legacy through his children Beth, Bridgit, Patrick, stepdaughter Wendy, granddaughters Rebecca, Erin, Emily, Elyse, great- granddaughter Neveah and extended family. Charlie worked from an early age, driving truck, cutting wood, etc. He retired after 60 years as a heavy equipment operator for Operating Engineers Local 12. He was a strong supporter of the union movement in the 1950s. During WWII, he proudly served his country in the Marine Corps. "Junior" was a proud "original" member of the Boozefighters MC and thought the world of his motorcycle brothers. Charlie enjoyed cars, bikes, reading and the outdoors. His positive attitude and fun-loving spirit will be missed by those who knew and loved him. His lives forever in our hearts.
