Donald A. Lee

iconLee, Donald A. July 1932 ~ April 2013 LEMON GROVE -- Donald Lee passed away after a year and 5 month battle with cancer. He fought in the Korean War as a Marine and served in the military for 14 years. He participated in the Inchon Landing, Chosin Reservoir, Pusan Perimeter, other battles and was awarded The Purple Heart twice. He was a member of many military organizations including: VFW, M.O.P.H., Chosin Few, D.A.V., Baker Bandits, M.C. Assc. and Men of Chosin. He was also a member of the Masons and The Scotish Rite. He was preceded by his wife Lorna Lee and survived by his daughter Dorothy Lee, brother Ken Potter, nephews Brad Woods and Loren Potter; niece Mary Potter, cousins including Horace Ooley and Kathleen Skaurud. He is also survived by Dawn Dee Gallegos-Elliott who was like a daughter to him, Sean Elliott and Sheri Gallegos-Lewis who were like his granchildren. In lieu of flowers please send donations to Avalon Hospice. Services to be held at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery on May 1st at 1:30 p.m.
