Marc Cinciarelli(1953 - 2013)

Cinciarelli, Marc 04/20/1953 ~ 10/02/2013 OCEANSIDE -- Marc was born near Lake Erie in Ashtabula, Ohio on April 20, 1953. He passed away on October 2, 2013 at the age of 60. Marc and his siblings spent many a winters' day sledding and playing in the snow. Marc attended catholic school and served as an altar boy for many years. After spending many summers in California the family moved to Oceanside in 1965. While attending Oceanside High School, Marc intensely enjoyed being on the debate team. Along with his lifelong friend Gracie Phillips, Marc was instrumental in starting the Oceanside chapter of the singing group 'Up With People.' Marc had many job interests throughout his life. His last position was as personnel director for a medical center and he also worked as a computer consultant. Marc enjoyed going desert camping and riding with his friends. He volunteered his time at the VFW in Vista. He was a kind, friendly and considerate person who always remembered his family and friends on birthdays and holidays. His last years were unfortunately impaired by liver failure and diabetes. Let Marc's life be a reminder to us all - to eat well, take all things in moderation and care for yourself. Marc was predeceased by his mother, Evelyn Cinciarelli (1999); his sister, Lisa Cinciarelli (2010); and his brother-in-law, Steven Brunst (2012). He is survived by his father, Brig. General Roland Cinciarelli (Ret); sisters, Jane Cinciarelli-Brunst of Oceanside, Kasey Cinciarelli (Dave Kaplan) of Carlsbad; and six nieces and nephews. There will be a celebration of Marc's life for family and friends on Saturday, November 16, 2013 from 1:30pm - 4 pm at the Oceanside Elks Club. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Elizabeth Hospice, 500 La Terraza Blvd., Suite 130, Escondido, CA 92025.
