WILHOIT, PAMELA JEANNE Pam was born in Tacoma, Washington on November 18, 1949, and she passed away peacefully on November 4, 2012, at Sharp Hospital. She was the daughter of Jack and Beryl Wilhoit. After her father's retirement from the Air Force, the family settled in San Diego, where Pam attended Ocean Beach Elementary, Dana Junior High, and Point Loma High School. Pam graduated from San Diego State University, where she was a member of Alpha Chi Omega sorority. Pam taught Physical Education in the Irvine Unified School District for 32 years, and retired to San Diego in 2003, to be close to her family. After retirement, she traveled extensively, and also volunteered at the Cabrillo National Monument. She is survived by her mother, Beryl Wilhoit, her brother, John Wilhoit and sister-in-law, Sandee, and her uncle, Philip Ernsberger. She was pre-deceased by her father, Jack Wilhoit and her uncle, Robert Ernsberger. Pam was a cheerful, energetic person, who was always ready to help others. Her whimsical nature and ready smile will be missed. No services are planned.
