SHAUGHNESSY, SIMON "SI" CLYDE Nov. 23, 1937 to Nov. 9, 2012 Simon "Si" Shaughnessy passed away peacefully November 9, 2012, at age 74. Si was born at home in Havilla, WA; November 23, 1937 to his parents Charles and Myrtle. Si is survived by loving wife, Sharon Darlene Shaughnessy of 33 years; eight daughters, Charlene Shaugh-nessy; Carroll (Steve) Connell; Barbara Beaubien; Debra "Renee" Hubbard; Linda (Bob) Stage; Laura (Jerry) Steed; Jackie (Mike) McIntyre Fox; Diana (Blane) Johnson Armenta; 22 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; sister, Sharon Shaughnessy Natcher; many nieces, nephews and cousin, Shirley Breshears. He served in the U.S. Army. Retired from Lockheed after 32 yrs moving from Los Gatos, CA to San Diego County in 1996. A member of the Old Time Fiddlers and Southwest Bluegrass Associations, Wandering Minstrels and Alpine Community Church. He enjoyed traveling with his wife in his RV to music camp outs, singing and playing guitar, being outdoors nature watching, family gatherings and friendships. A celebration of Si's life is this Saturday, November 17th, at 11:00 a.m., Alpine Community Church, 2225 W Victoria Dr., Alpine, CA 91901, flowers by 10:00 a.m., reception to follow at Fuller Hall, donations to local cancer research.
