Shaw, Stephen Palmer STAFFORD, VA -- Stephen Palmer Shaw, born July 14, 1972, in San Diego, CA, was killed in the line of duty on May 17, 2013. Steve was passionate about all aspects of life, his family, his friends and his work. No matter what the task at hand, Steve gave everything of himself. He was an inspiration and a role model to everyone he encountered - his work ethic, diligence and determination were unparalleled. He served his country for his entire adult life throughout many government agencies, Border Patrol, Diplomatic Security, Customs, and finally to his dream as a Special Agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation. He personified the embodiment of being a loyal, selfless, and courageous member of the Hostage Rescue Team. He gave his life in the defense of his country. Servare Vitas. He is survived by his loving wife, son, daughter, sister and mother.
