1932 - 2013 Obituary Condolences
Moser, Rose Marie SAN DIEGO -- Rose Marie (Lau) Moser, born August 18, 1932, in St. Joseph, MO, survived her 81st birthday and then passed quietly into Eternity September 10, 2013. She was the daughter of Herman F. Lau and Rosa B. Roberts and sister to Frederick Lau (PA) and Margaret Lau (MO). Rosie graduated from Southwest Baptist University Boliver, MO, and received her RN degree in 1955 from the Baptist Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in Memphis, TN. Following her marriage to Herbert C. (Chuck) Moser in 1956, she moved to San Diego where they started their family in University City. It was their privilege to be one of the seven founding families of East Clairemont Southern Baptist Church c. 1960. During the '60s and '70s, Rosie raised her five children and always made time for community activities, PTA and, above all church activities. For many years, she was the church organist, helped prepare Wednesday night dinners, kept the books for the church preschool and much more. Once her children had grown, Rosie went back to work first as a RN for Dr. Don Wilson in San Diego and later as a clerk for Poway Unified School District. She happily retired from "work" in 1994 to care for her first grandchild. Surviving children include Carol Moser, David Moser, Paul Moser and wife Mary, Diane (Moser) Martine and husband Matthew Martine. Grandchildren include Emily Martine, Grace Moser and Madeline Martine. Her youngest son, Steven Moser who deceased in service with the US Air Force and is now reunited with in Paradise, preceded her in death. A service to celebrate her life, now rejoined in heaven with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, will be held Saturday, September 28, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. at Bethel Baptist Church in Escondido.
