Suzanna Ogden Obituary

Suzanna Cembrowska Ogden SAN MARCOS -- Suzanna passed away unexpectedly on May 26, 2012. She was born in Warsaw, Poland on May 11, 1940, to Romana and Marian Cembrowski. Suzanna attended ballet classes in high school and was part of a ballet troupe that performed in Paris, France. She was crowned Miss Poland in 1959 and was invited to the 1959 Miss Universe Contest . She was a Contest Semi- Finalist and defected to the United States at that time. She modeled for Max Factor and appeared in the movie Phantom Planet in 1961. She was married in 1961 and had a son who unfortunately died after a skate board accident at age 14. Suzanna was a co-partner in a Vintage Jewelry Store in Santa Monica for several years. She later moved to San Marcos, where she sold jewelry and fine collectibles at the Escondido Antique Village. After being raised under the Nazi and Russian occupations, Suzanna became a true and dedicated patriot after gaining her citizenship to the USA. She was a true and loyal friend to all who were fortunate enough to know and love her. Her many friends celebrated her life on June 26 in San Marcos. Suzanna is survived by her close friend, Jim Gates; uncle, Edmund and Irene Novak; aunt, Nina Novak; nephew, Peter Cembowski; nieces, Sylvia Cieslak, Magdalena Debiec, Katarzyna Maciatek; and cousins, Randy and Raymond Novak.
