Warren was a good friend of Dick Wentink. They shared Michigan heritage and the love of flying-airplanes- and the space age,

Warren had a major impact on my professional life by hiring me, and then guiding me through the early days of my career at General Dynamics-Astronautics. I will be forever grateful for his guidance and help in getting me started in the world of materials science and engineering.

I had the pleasure to be a colleague of Warrens while I was with General Dynamics. We both worked on potential new ventures or acquisitions. I particularly remember Warren recommended we pick up a small company called FedEx! Management rejected it and that company is bigger than GD! He was a good friend.
