Obituary Condolences

iconMORALES, STEVE Steve Morales was born on September 2, 1926 in San Narciso, Zambales, Philippines. His parents were Severo and Anacleta Apostle Morales. Dad passed peacefully on November 12, 2012 of natural causes at 86 years of age. Like the soldier that he was, our beloved father was courageous and fought hard till the end. He loved his family dearly and we know he tried to live as long as possible till his Father was ready for him. Steve is survived by his two sisters, Juanita Morales Delacruz and Erlinda Morales, both reside in Zambales, Philippines. He is also survived by Irene Felarca Morales, his devoted wife of 57 years, his children and 15 grandchildren and great-grandchild- ren. Below are the names of his loving family: Son, Jimmy Morales and his children, Franchesca and Steven; daughter, Jeannie Morales Lazo, her husband, Nelson Lazo and their children, Erik, Anthony, Tatiana Jasmine, Malia and Jenny Marie with her children, Ryan and Isiah; daughter, Nanette Morales Pablo, her husband Robert Pablo and their children, Robbert, Cerene, Keli'i and Konrad; daughter, Leilani Morales, her fiance Mitchell Steinberg and their children Zachary and Gabrielle; daughter, Stephany Morales Szczepaniak, her husband Jeff and their son Chad; son, Michael Morales, his wife Catherine Dimagiba Morales and expecting their daughter Mia. As a young teen, from 1942 to 1945, Steve served alongside his uncle and cousin in the Philippine Guerrilla Force. In 1946, Steve enlisted in the Navy. After 26 years of honorable service, Steve retired from the Navy with the rank of E6 Petty Officer First Class. Steve served during World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War. He served on 15 different vessels during his Navy career and was awarded numerous commendation and medals. After his service in the Navy, our dad worked as a private chef and then was certified and worked as a master mechanic into his 70s. Steve also single-handedly ran the galleys on board tuna boats for over 10 years. Dad also beat the odds and overcame his prostate cancer when he was in his 70s. A beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather and Great-Grand-father whom will forever be with us in our memories and heart. Please join us in celebrating Steve's life.
