PAUL EDWARD HICKEY

HICKEY, PAUL EDWARD September 20, 1926 to November 28, 2012 Paul passed away with his family at his bedside. Born in Denver, he lived most of life in San Diego. Paul graduated from Hoover High in 1944 and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Tall Paul played basketball his entire life and played in the NBA in 1951. He worked as an estimator/accountant, but his passion was in wood working. Paul retired to Lake Havasu City, AZ. Paul was preceded in death by his son Kenny, and is survived by five children, their spouses, 11 grandchildren, five great-grand-children; brother Charles, sister Barbara, and their children. A celebration of life is scheduled for Jan. 12, 2013 at 1 p.m. at Palisades Presbyterian Church, 6301 Birchwood St., San Diego.
