Obituary Condolences

LINDAHL, PETER STEVEN Oct. 11, 1959 to Feb. 2, 2013 Peter Steven Lindahl, age 53, passed away peacefully at home on February 2 in the company of his wife, daughter, and beloved dog. Peter grew up in Falmouth, Maine, where he was a sports enthusiast earning All-American in Soccer and was loved by many for his laughter, humor, and friendship. He eventually settled in San Diego, California, where he has lived for almost 30 years. Peter worked in the food and beverage service areas for many years at both the Hyatt and Sheraton hotels. He met his wife of 25 years, Beverly, while working at Barnacle Bills Restaurant on Harbor Island. In work, he was loved for his wit and infectious laugh. Peter was most proud of his daughter Kelly and loved his summer family vacations in Maine, eating fresh lobster right off the boat. As a result of the many friendships developed over his life, it seemed that wherever Peter traveled he always came across someone he knew. He touched many lives and was a devoted father, husband, brother, son, uncle and best friend. Peter is predeceased by his brother Richard, Jr. He is survived by his wife Beverly and daughter Kelly of San Diego; mother Sarah Teresa, father Richard Sr. and his wife Jane, brothers Olie and David, sister Trina, all of Maine, and many dear friends. He will live forever in the hearts of so many that he loved and who loved him. A memorial service is planned for this summer in Maine. A service will be held in San Diego on February 15, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. at Foothills United Methodist Church in La Mesa.
