Obituary Condolences

SEAGROVE, MAUREEN KEALOHA KAAUWAI Maureen Kealoha Kaauwai Seagrove, born August 22,1938, in Lihue Kauai, Hawaii, lost her battle with Alzheimers disease December 12, 2012, at home (Vail, AZ). Maureen is survived by her devoted husband John B. Seagrove, two brothers, three sisters, son Bert Hokumalama Kaauwai, six grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. Three sons preceded Maureen in death, James Merideth Seagrove, Richard Bryant Seagrove, and Mark Kaleolani Seagrove, Maureen will be enjoying their company and loving it now and forever. Maureen was my great love and good luck charm. We met in Pearl Harbor on "Friday the 13th of September", 1963. It was love at first sight. We married March 28, 1964, at my home in Salina, Kansas. Maureen retired from Visual Productions (San Diego, CA) in December 1993 when we moved to Vail, AZ, where she helped me remodel our country home. Maureen was a very talented lady - she crocheted, was a great seamstress, making clothing, suits, dress pants, and my navy uniforms. She was a great decorator, decorating our newly remodeled home. Maureen was a wonderful Navy Wife and Mother, with our three diabetic sons to care for when I was away at sea and gone for 6-9 months at a time. It is hard to imagine life without Maureen. I will really miss her. Maureens celebration of life will be held at 12:00 noon on January 12, 2013 at Abounding Grace Lutheran Church, 2450 So. Kolb Rd., Tucson, AZ 85710. Please donate to Alzheimers instead of sending flowers.
