Frank Maas Obituary

Maas, Frank Willis SAN DIEGO-- Frank Willis Maas III, 71, passed away on May 7, 2013 after a courageous battle with cancer. Born January 28, 1942 in Queens, NY, to Frank and Margery McCullough Maas, he attended Levittown Memorial High School ('60) and Santa Ana College. Frank served honorably in the U-S Army from 1960-1963, as a Communications Specialist stationed in Hanau, Germany during the Cuban Missile Crisis. In the 70's he founded Mission Tinting & Shades, in Mission Viejo, CA, and was a pioneer in the development and installation of protective films on glass windows for automobiles, homes and office buildings. He is survived by his companion Lynne Douglas of La Luz, NM; daughter Sandra Maas Burgess, son-in-law Jim Burgess of San Diego, CA; son Richard Maas, daughter-in-law Sandra Baldner Maas, of Marshfield, MA; sister Joanne Martinsen of Knoxville, TN; and grandchildren Brianna, Jacob, Lila and Tor. His final resting place is Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery.

I remember his green van he had back in the early 70's he took us kids in the neighborhood everywhere in it.. he was always so nice to us! My prayers are with his family..
