Lacy-DeFever, Ruth POINT LOMA -- Ruth Lacy-DeFever, age 91, of Point Loma, California, passed away at Scripps Mercy Hospital on November 22, 2014, from complications of a stroke. I remember Mrs. Lacy as the smiling, charming matriarch of the Lacy family, as well as wonderful positive presence in the lives of those she knew. God bless you Mrs. Lacy as you and Mr. Lacy reside in heaven

Ruth Lacy was my college roommate's (Rod Lacy) mother. Occasionally Ruth & her husband Gordon, Rod's dad, would visit us in college. Ruth was always a smiling face, a wonderful bright light where ever she went, and she and Gordon were spectacular role models to Rod and his sister. The world was a better place because of Ruth Lacy, and is a little lonely without her.
