Bonnie,
Our hearts go out to you. We remember Ken as a very likable, distinguished, caring individual. (Even for a Navy guy)
He had a remarkrable life with a great wife. Remember the good times and all of the shared memories during those difficult times.

Dear Bonnie, I only just heard about Ken's passing. I am so very sorry for your loss. Tom regarded him as a fine, intelligent and gentle man, who always made time to check on Tom during his illness while at McMillin's. My heart aches for you and your family. My sincere condolences.

Ken was truly an aristocrat - in the best sense of the word. He had the ability to bring out the strengths in the people around him. I worked with him at the County Planning Department in the 70s. I recall that the head of the section that both of us worked in, about 1976, had allowed a stack of about 30-or-so minor projects which were cleared for approval, to stack up on the floor next to his desk. The leader could not bring himself to issue approvals. One day the leader was ill, and Ken was second in command, if I can use that word, and by the time the day was over, Ken had signed the approval document for each one.
He will be missed.
