Bryan York Wright

Bryan York Wright, 41, of San Miguel, passed away as a result of an accident Thursday, March 28, 2013, at home. He was the only child born to Robert and Gisela Wright in May 1971 in Santa Barbara. Bryan attended Santa Barbara High School and graduated in 1989. He joined the U.S. Army in 1989 and served for three years, after having been a member of ROTC. He was promoted to the rank of Specialist E-4 during his tour of duty. Bryan married Paulina Lizbeth Lundin in Ballard, Calif., on Jan. 5, 2002, and they had two lovely daughters, ages 10 and 3. He was a California resident for his entire life, outside of two years spent in Germany (he was fluent in German). He had been resident of San Miguel for eight years, Bryan was employed by the California Highway Patrol as a peace officer for 16 years and loved his job immensely. Throughout his life, Bryan had been an active member of his community and spent many hours volunteering to help others. Bryan will be remembered by his loving wife, Paulina; and their children Jordyn and Sydney; and mother, Gisela. He was predeceased in death by his father, Robert Wright; and pops, James Tucker. Viewing and visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 3, 2013, at Kuehl~Nicolay Funeral Chapel, 1703 Spring St in Paso Robles. Relatives and friends are invited to join in remembering Bryan at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 4, 2013, at The Mid-State Event Center in Paso Robles.
