Eileen Elizabeth Van, 92, was born in San Francisco, Calif., and passed away peacefully Monday, Dec. 17, 2012, at her home in San Luis Obispo, where she had resided since 1964. After she retired as a school secretary in San Luis Obispo, she enjoyed her family, friends and garden. She was an active member of the Mission Catholic Church. A lover of all things great and small Eileen is survived by her husband, Merlyn Van; sons David Hall and Chris Hall; and four grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 21, 2012, at Mission Catholic Church in San Luis Obispo.
