Garrett Sherman Travis, 42, of Foster City, Calif., passed Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2013, at his home in Foster City. Garrett was born in April 1970, in Tulare, Calif., the son of Bill and Trudi Travis. He attended Tulare Union High School in Tulare and continued his education at Fresno State College, where he majored in Crop Science. While at Fresno State, he was a member of the Alpha Gamma Rho fraternity. The greatest joy of his life was being able to spend time with his son, wife and step-children. Garrett is survived by his wife, Jackie; son, Conner; step-children Jessica, Elizabeth and Robert; parents, Bill and Trudi Travis; and sister, Sara Travis Stone (Todd). He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Ormal and Ruth Runyon; and paternal grandparents, Velma Shepard and Lester Travis. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
