Bennie Brown Obituary

Bennie Glenn Brown, 70, of Paso Robles, passed from the loving embrace of his family to the warm embrace of his Lord, Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2011. Bennie was born in Laredo, Texas, in December 1940, the oldest of four brothers. As a child, Bennie moved with his family to Kirkland, Wash., where he lived until he enlisted in the U.S. Army. Following basic training, Bennie was stationed at Camp Roberts. It was there in 1960 that he met the love of his life, Patricia Lynn Hirschler. They celebrated 50 years of marriage together, having raised two children and sharing their love with their seven grandchildren. Bennie spent over 30 years serving the public with the U.S. Postal Service. Over the years, his public service also included membership in Jaycees and the Free and Accepted Masons. Bennie''s family will remember him lovingly for his ever present western hat and boots, twinkle in his eye, warm smile, patient words of wisdom and hugs that always let you know you were loved. Bennie is survived by his loving wife, Patricia; son, Timothy (Kerri); daughter, DeAnna Hammer (Tony); seven grandchildren Joshua, Jeffrey, Jennifer, Justin, Nicole, Dalton and Samantha; and three brothers Joe and Jim of Washington and John of Oregon. A celebration of Bennie''s life will take place at 2 p.m., Friday, Oct. 21, 2011, at North County Christian Fellowship, 421 9th St. in Paso Robles. Kuehl-Nicolay 238-4383 Paso Robles
