Charles Bickerton Charles Frederick Bickerton "Chuck," 75, of Oceano died on November 24, 2016. He was born in Wilkinsburg, Pa. to Walter and Evelyn Bickerton. Chuck moved to the Central Coast in 1978 and was a Painting Contractor here up until earlier this year. He was a lifelong Steelers fan. Chuck is survived by his wife, Louise Bickerton of 27 years; his step-daughters, Cheryl Perry (Mark), Carolyn Emmons (Howard); grandchildren, Audrey Chastain (Josh), Emily Perry, Olivia Marmolejo (Caleb), Muriel Emmons, Josephine Emmons; three great-grandchildren; sisters Joanne Horton (Phillip), Elizabeth Coldren (Calvin); niece Kathleen Koka and nephew Steven Koka. A viewing will be held from 3:00 to 5:00pm, Sunday, December 4, 2016, at Marshall-Spoo Sunset Funeral Chapel in Grover Beach. A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00pm, Monday, December 5, 2016, at Arroyo Grande Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society. Over the years, whenever I happened to run into Chuck, he never failed to recognize me, and always had a kind word and a funny story to brighten my day. I was saddened to hear of his passing. My condolences and prayers go to Louise and the family. He will be missed!
