Dennis Alexander Obituary

Dennis I. Alexander was born in May 1934 in Santa Maria to Anthony and Mary (Amaro) Alexander, and lived many years in the San Luis Obispo area. He died Monday, Oct. 18, 2010, at Havasu Regional Medical Center in Lake Havasu City, Ariz. Dennis was a member of the Teamsters Union for 32 years having worked for Madonna Construction Co. and Diablo Canyon Nuclear Power Plant, among others. He was a member of the Eagles and the Elks. Dennis leaves behind his wife of 33 years, Jessie Ann Alexander; stepchildren Margit Harris of Templeton and her daughter, Ashtyn Etchison, and Michael Mullard (Kristin) of Elk Grove, Calif., and their children Jackson and Matteo; sisters Donna Martin (Bill) and Diane Tarp (Allen); brothers Derrald Alexander (Mary) and Deverne Alexander; stepfather, Jack Runnels; aunt and uncle Annie and Larry Viegas; several nieces, nephews, cousins and all of the great friends he made over the years. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Devon Godkin. Donations may be made in Dennis'' name to the Western Arizona Humane Society, 1100 Empire Dr., Lake Havasu City, AZ 86404.
