My Aunt Dorothy was always such a soft spoken woman. Wonderful to be around and such a caring person! She will always be remembered in the most fondest of ways.

Today I am remembering my Aunt Dorothy with her sister, my mom, Georgia Howard. I remember Aunt Dorothy as a kind and gentle woman. She spoke with a soft and loving voice. I remember her knitting machine and all the beautiful pieces she made at her home in Inglewood...in particular, a cardigan sweater she made for me for my birthday, peach in color. It was one of my favorite pieces to wear...Aunt Dorothy always seemed to have a soft and gentle smile on her face, and I loved to hear her laugh. During one of her visits to my family's home in Ashland, Oregon, she shared my room with me. We talked about Elvis Presley, what it was to have a crush on a boy when you were only 12; how much she loved my mom and all the times they shared as young girls...she told me funny stories about growing up and having a sister....and how much I would always love MY sisters....we laughed well into the night. Even now, I can hear her voice and her laugh...I celebrate you, Aunt Dorothy and I am truly blessed to be your niece.
