I still see Fred every day as I sit at my computer. And next to Fred's picture is one of Ginnie. I miss him dearly on this week of his passing 14 years ago.

To me, Fred was "dad" and for always will I remember him as that. We met in Oxnard many years ago when we both were a little younger than today. I was quick to learn that he and I had much in common in the world of Grumman warplanes; and cats too. He was shocked to say the least when Pooper came to me at first meeting and curled up to sleep on my lap. I think it was then that Fred accepted me as family.
When ho moved north to share his life with Ginnie we stayed in e-mail contact almost daily. Phone calls were there too. I got to learn what a wonderful man he was. I proudly called him dad and I know he liked that.
I will miss him a lot but I saved his e-mails and I will reread them as I sit at my computer.
Ginnie, thank you for being there always for Fred. He sure did love you!

Dear Ginnie,
I am so sorry for your loss.
I will always remember the night Uncle Fred drove Lynn and me to NYC in his little sports car to hang out in the Village. This was my first adventure to that part of the city, and it was an eye-opener!
I will miss Uncle Fred's emails. I want you to know that you are in my prayers.
Much Love, Karen
