Heather Simpson Obituary

Heather Rae Simpson, 37, of Paso Robles, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 19, 2010, at her home. Heather was special from the minute she was born - Christmas Day 1972. We were blessed a thousand fold when she came into our lives, Jan. 25, 1973. She was a lifelong resident of Paso Robles. She attended the Trinity Lutheran School then graduated from Paso Robles High School in 1991, where she was a jubilant band member. After graduation, she attended Cuesta College in San Luis Obispo and also took a class in Paso Robles to become a doctor''s back office assistant. She was a member of the Plymouth Congregational Church and a member of their bell choir. In her late 20s, she was diagnosed with Primary Pulmonary Hypertension, which curtailed her activities. She fought a hard, difficult battle. Heather is survived by her mother, Pattie Simpson; grandmother, Iva Lea Teixeira; aunts Sanndy Riley, Pat Riley and Helen Taylor: uncle, Bill Riley; cousins Carollyn Scott, Stephanie Savage and Tina Sholz; her pet Pomi, Daisy; and many other family members. She was preceded in death by her dad, Scottie Simpson. Visitation will start at 10:30 a.m. with a service at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 28, 2010, at Plymouth Congregational Church, 13th and Oak Streets in Paso Robles. Please wear Heather''s favorite color, purple. Donations in Heather''s name, can be made to Pulmonary Hypertension Assoc., 801 Roeder Road Ste. 400, Silver Spring, MD 20910, or Plymouth Congregational Church Bell Ringers, 1301 Oak St., Paso Robles, CA 93446. Pattie,

I'm so sorry for your loss. I'll always remember the ten year old who lived for her clarinet and had a big heart. Whenever we crossed paths, she never hesitated to give me a hug and say hello. I'm certain she's playing in that jazz band in the sky.
