Owen, Bob, and Wendell, all three are probably up above pitching quarters and watching the girls. Say a prayer for all three as you pass the donut shop each day. They were part of a great group of guys and they left JP, Fred, and Bill behind to carry on in the tradition. Kathleen Sullivan

I am sorry to hear about Wendell's passing. We met after Winnie's death at his home - he was having a garage sale and in a emotionally sad state. Wendell showed me his wife's art and we laughed and cried together the first day we met. I was impressed that he loved her so deeply and served her til she died. We became friends - he came to my house in Pismo a few times and shared some great stories. A friend of mine, Sue Pigeon, prayed with him to receive Jesus as his Savior...probably in 2002? I would see him at the donut shop occasionally with his friends... I'll remember his humor, his charm, his love for his wife and his short shorts and tan legs... He was a character! I trust I will see him in Heaven! Pastor Mike Sparrow
