Jetta Bauske Obituary

Jetta Darlene (Spencer) Bauske was born in August 1935 to Harry and Alice Spencer, and died Monday, Jan. 3, 2011, at Cottage Hospital in Santa Barbara. Jetta had been a lifelong resident of Paso Robles and graduated with the Class of ''53. After high school, she lived in Guam, San Francisco and Hawaii, having worked for the Veterans Administration. She returned home to join the family business, the Rodeo Cocktail Lounge in Paso Robles, and worked alongside her parents and brother, Jerry. She raised four kids who will remember that no matter what, she was always there for them. Jetta warmed the hearts of many and was a true friend who always brought laughter to the room. When you were looking for advice she could always be counted on to "give it to you straight," but with love and understanding. She valued friendship and honesty and loved Sha Na Na, being a Bingo Queen, Master Dealer in Poker and a diehard 49er fan. She will be missed by many. Jetta is survived by her brother, Jerry Spencer; children Artie Bauske (Pam), Suzie (Bauske) Jaeger, Joe Bauske and Kilika Alonzo (John); grandchildren Hailey, Kyle, Taylor and Alexa; nieces Jeri Darlene Ramirez and Jodi Furtney; and nephew, Jerry Spencer Jr. She was preceded in death by her parents and cat, Budda. A service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2011, at Kuehl''Nicolay Funeral Home, 17th and Spring St. in Paso Robles. A reception will be held at the Rodeo Lounge, 12th and Spring St., following interment. Kuehl-Nicolay Funerals 238-4383 Paso Robles

I have many memories of Jetta from my younger years. She was a longtime friend of my mom and uncle, Shirley and Alan, always filled with laughter; but what I remember most are the RED SETTER days when Jetta had her beauty shop on Park St... may she find a lively, loving audience in Heaven!

I will never forget Jetta's smile or those big beautiful eyes of hers. Jetta always kept it straight forward, no "BS" for her and heaven forbid you trash her 49ers... Didn't get to visit much with you towards the end but I know your in a much better place now. I'm sure you can cut in on a few card games there. We love you Jetta. Rest in peace.
