We´re still thinking of cousin Laura and what joy she brought every time we visited her. My husband and I spent a few days in SLO last year and it felt strange not being able to stop by and see her. I´m just glad we had the opportunity to get to know her for as long as we did. xoxo

I had the pleasure of being with Laura when she needed a little help when she hurt her arm. This was the most fun I have had, Laura kept me laughing all the time. Laura was the classiest women and called it as she saw it. I hope some of her humor and stories of life will keep my laughing, she taught me a great deal about finding humor in everyday. I am sorry to lose such a wonderful woman from this world. Barbara you are wonderful and I know Laura thought the world of you. Thanks for introducing us.

This was taken a year ago in October 2013. Two of my daughters are with Laura.

Laura was my grandmother, Eva's first cousin. I grew up hearing about "Cousin Laura" and even met her a few times throughout my life. But, it wasn't until our daughter was at Cal Poly from 2010-2014 that we got to know Laura. We would try to make a point of visiting her in Morro Bay whenever we drove to SLO. Laura shared stories about her husband, Frank. We also enjoyed cats just as she did. And, we were always so impressed at how impeccably dressed she was. I envied her earring collection!
Our daughter graduated from Cal Poly this past June. And, dear Laura has gone home to her maker. We'll miss our visits with her. But, I know she's at peace with her husband once again. And all her relatives who went before her. She and my grandmother are now at rest in the little town of Cayucos overlooking the sea where both were born so many years ago. xoxo

Laura was my grandmother, Eva's first cousin. I had met her a few times as a child and young woman. She was at a family gathering at her nephew, Pete Tognazzini's home in 1987 after my grandmother passed. But, more recently, our family has made a point of visiting her in Morro Bay the past 4 years while our daughter was at Cal Poly. We shared her love of cats and enjoyed hearing stories about her husband, Frank. And, we were always so impressed at how beautifully dressed Laura was. And her earring collection was something to envy! What a gal! And, I was fortunate to be her third cousin. I'm so sorry she's gone. I'll miss our visits. But, she certainly lived a long and interesting life. Now she can be with her beloved Frank.

Laura you were a classy lady with a quick wit and wonderful sense of humor. My father Stanley always referred to you as his "favorite cousin" and spoke of many happy summers with you, Frank, Elmer, Homer and Delmo. Rest in peace and happy reunion with your beloved Frank, your brothers and my father Stanley too!

As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends.

I had the rare pleasure of working with Laura some twenty years ago to preserve several photographs of her husband Frank Garzoli in his San Luis Obispo Police Department uniform. Those photographs are now archived at the San Luis Obispo History Center, thanks to Laura's efforts. Rest in Peace, Laura.

"Aunt Laura" exhibited truly amazing energy and vitality. Photo shows her riding in a carriage during the 2012 Cayucos July 4th Parade!
