I first met Lee through St. Williams Church in Atascadero. Then our paths crossed with quilting, the Almond Country Quilt Guild and once a month when I read her electric meter at her home on the hilltop. I always enjoyed how her face lite up when she smiled. Lee was a very special lady filled with love of the Lord and she spread that to the lives she touched.

My dear Aunt Lee always had a smile and a hug. She chose to call me her "Miss America". When I asked her why, she said I just made her think of the Miss America girls. That always elevated my own opinion of myself and increased my confidence. I often needed that. I will miss her.

Lee was one of the first persons I met when we moved to Atascadero in 1989. She blessed me with love, faith, and spirit, which will carry on through those who knew and loved her.
