Marianne Caccia Obituary

Marianne Caccia, 93, of San Luis Obispo, passed away peacefully Thursday, Oct. 28, 2010, at her home, surrounded by family and her beloved husband of 71 years, Howard Caccia. Born in Ann Arbor, Mich., in 1916, Marianne moved to California in 1934. After Howard and Marianne married, they lived in Morro Bay and San Luis Obispo all their married lives.  They raised three daughters, Suzanne, Judy and Sandra. Her love of family expanded to include nine grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren. Marianne dedicated her life as a homemaker. She loved gardening, romance and spontaneous adventure. She was always happy to share a cup of coffee and have a chat.   She was affectionately known and loved as "Nonnie" and will be greatly missed. Howard and family want to express their gratitude for all the support, care and kindnesses shown in this time of sorrow and great loss. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Hospice Partners of the Central Coast at www.hospicepartnerscc.org.

I go back with the family to when Judy was pregnant with Kathy. Judy has been a sister to me in every sense of the word. Over these years the family has been very dear to my husband and I.Nonny and Boppy were so special and we enjoyed our moments together. Nonny will be missed but we share the hope with the family of seeing her again. So our love goes to Boppy and the rest of the family for now. Bill and Elaine Currie

Nonnie was a delight to know and we cherish that experience even though it was so many years ago when we lived in SLO town. We send our sympathy to the loving family members who we are sure will miss her dearly. We will always remember her for her tireless spirit and her endless projects beautifying her environment. She was a very special lady. Our love to the family,

She was our very own Lucy Arnaz and we all "loved Lucy." With deep affection everyone who knew her could say that there never was a dull moment. Sometimes the dining rm was in the living rm or a bedroom was on the porch. Only the bathrooms and kitchen were exempt and that was only because Mother did not know a thing about plumbing! I miss you and look forward to our hope ...John 5: 28,29 Sue
