Marie Dokulil

Marie Dokulil, 92, a resident of Atascadero for 34 years, passed away peacefully Monday, Nov. 29, 2010, at her home. Marie was born in Fond du Lac, Wis. in 1918 and in 1944, married Clarence "Duke" Dokulil. After living in Kennewick, Wash., and Reseda, Calif., Marie and Duke retired to Atascadero, where they were both very involved with St. Williams Church. Marie loved her home and spent her final years in her garden raising asparagus, watching the squirrels and listening to the birds. Marie is survived by sons John of Goleta, and Mark (Susan) of Paso Robles. Duke, a Pearl Harbor veteran, passed away in 2002. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday, Dec. 7, 2010, at Chapel of the Roses, 3450 El Camino Real in Atascadero, followed by a Mass at 1 p.m. at St. Williams Church, 6410 Santa Lucia in Atascadero.
