I began my life with Mike as my protector and my playmate. We were inseperable for our first decade or more in this life. His imagination and spirit of endless adventure during those years nurtured my own, and still do. For Mike, a chicken coop was a "fort", and a field of hay was a magical land where the faerie folk dwelled. His was a gentle and sensitive spirit, and a part of him was always apart from the physical realm. I take great comfort in knowing he is now living in the true joy of pure spirit, and his body is no longer a burden to him His hugs and his unique sense of humor will forever be missed.

Though your body may be gone, the spirit lives on, and may that give us all comfort.

I worked with Michael at General Hospital. He was always a pro - doing it right and letting you know how to do it right. Likewise, his example set the bar higher.
Thanks Michael. Peace to all his family.

I met Mike as we walked our dogs in the lovely estate area off Orcutt Road. His gentleness and devotion to Mika and Luci, giving them full exercise, as well as the kindness he showed to all our doggies out there made those morning jaunts so pleasurable.
We shared stories about our families and I appreciated his good humored perspective on life.
He confided that his battle with Leukemia was going well and he looked forward to getting healthy, so it was with shock and sadness that I read of his death.
If Luci and Mika need a home (together!), perhaps I can be of some help.
I will miss him.

We met Mike during several morning walks on Orcutt. He was always kind and talkative and patient listening to my kids' random stories. We will miss him very much.

I will always remember Michael sitting on the floor in the living room of the family home playing with the "girls", Mika and Lucy, the beautiful golden retrievers. How Michael loved those dogs! They were truly a joy for him.
Michael took his role of Big brother very seriously. He was always a source of support to his family.
Michael was also like a brother to me. What I enjoyed most about him was his sense of humor. We were always able to share a laugh. I will miss him a lot.
My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

I have known and worked with Mike since Feb of 2009. He was always a gentleman, kind and thoughtful, and he had the heart of a teacher, because he was always willing to say here is a better way to do this, and did it in his own kind, gracious and professional way.
His devotion to his sisters, his brother, and his family was inspiring. We often saw Mike on Orcutt Road walking the dogs and he always was beaming with happiness. My heart goes out to his family for their loss.
Rest in Peace, Friend.

Michael was my brother from another mother - and being considered "family" by Michael and the rest of his family healed many of my childhood hurts. I will forever miss his generosity and the strength and warmth of his hug. I know he is at peace.

We got to know Mike when we would see him walking his beautiful dogs. We were impressed by his devotion to them. What a genuinely kind and friendly man. We will miss having our little chats. May your memories of him bring you comfort.

Working with Michael at SLOGH was a privilege. He was a gentle man and was always polite and soft spoken. I was so sad to read of his death, my deepest sympathies to the family.

We got used to seeing first his mom (I think) and then Mike walking those beautiful dogs. We would get to chatting and found them both to be wonderfully genuine, pleasant people. As fellow dog lovers we appreciate the love he had for Mika and Luci and they for him. We will miss seeing him walking the girls and our little visits.
May your memories of him give you comfort.
