I first heard Paul in the quartet with Babe back in 1983. I'm sure by now he's found another quartet and he's entertaining my in-laws, grandmother-in-law and husband singing "cuppa, cuppa, cuppa". I'll miss seeing his happy face up on stage even though he hadn't been there in a while. I know he'll always be near.

Sharon and Family: My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. Paul was truly a very wonderful human being. He always put a smile on my face when I saw him. He always could make me laugh so hard. I'll never forget the time he stole my son's bag of M&M's and hid them from him. Jim hasn't forgotten that either. We still laugh about it all these years later. Now when I see a big bag of m&m's, I will give a little private salute to Paul. Rest in peace my friend.

Thoughts and prayers to the family for your loss. Paul was a true friend. We started singing together in Santa Maria in 1960; started the San Luis Chapter in 1963; sang in the Yankee Doodle Dandies and Intrepid quartets and shared many, many fun times together. He was even the best man at my wedding.

Your smile, humor and friendship will be truly missed, my friend. RIP

My thoughts are with all his friends and family who are missing him now. I learned so much from Paul during our time together in the Gold Coast Chorus. He was a true showman and really knew what "worked" to entertain an audience. I will always value our time together and all I learned from him.

My most sincere condolences to dear Sharon and the entire Silva family. From the day I first met Paul in 1972 he has been a friend and a mentor...always easy to joke and laugh in his own very special way. I always looked up to Paul and held him in high esteem for his work knowledge and his wonderful singing and entertainment talents. I know he is in a better place today and I'm sure leading another great barbershop quartet in the sky!
