Robert Clark Obituary

Robert Wayne Clark, 88, longtime resident of Cambria, was called to his heavenly home Saturday, Oct. 2, 2010, at his home. Bob was born in Greenfield, Ill., and grew up in Southern California. He enlisted in the U.S. Naval Air Corps in 1943 and served for three years during World War 11. Bob was a graduate of USC with a master''s degree in Vocal Music. Gifted with a fine tenor voice, he enjoyed a long singing career and also was an educator in public schools for 30 years. Bob and his wife, Marge, moved from Whittier, Calif., to Cambria in 1970. He become one of the founding members of the Moonstone Beach Association, whose goals are to preserve the natural, environmental beauty of the Moonstone Beach area, where he lived. He also participated in many vocal music organizations and events on the Central Coast. He wished to be remembered for his contributions in music, also as a devoted husband and father, but most of all as a committed follower of Christ. Bob is survived by his wife of 43 years, Marge; five sons; 12 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Ashes will be scattered at sea near the Cambrian coastline he loved so well. There will be a family memorial service in Whittier in the future. Donations in his memory can be made Central Coast Youth for Christ, P.O. Box 1667, San Luis Obispo, CA 93406.

It´s been a long time but we still think of Bob frequently and treasure all the times we had together. It won´t be long until we meet again. Our hope is in the Lord.

So long for now, Bob. I will miss your wonderful spirit, smiling face and of course your marvelous voice. Much sympathy to Marge and your family.
