Soon Yu Obituary

Soon Nyo Yu was born in December 1910 in Kanghwa-kun, Korea, and passed away at 9:05 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 23, 2010, at Twin City hospital, just 41 days short of her 100th birthday. Mrs. Yu immigrated to the United States in 1970 to be with her oldest daughter, and has lived in the Paso Robles area ever since. Mrs. Yu is survived by her children Mrs. Kim Felgenhauer, Mrs. Kimberly Dolata and Mrs. Chung Suk An of Paso Robles, Mrs. Ok Nyo Kim of Santa Maria and Eugene Keem of Atascadero; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jong Yoon Kim in 1962. Viewing will be from 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 27, 2010, at Kuehl-Nicolay Funeral Home, 1703 Spring St. in Paso Robles. A service will be at 8:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 28, 2010, also at Kuehl-Nicolay, with a procession to the Paso Robles District Cemetery. Kuehl-Nicolay Funerals 238-4383 Paso Robles

I met Kim's mother when I was in California visiting with my nephew Jerry, and Kim. She was a wonderful person and I am so glad I got to spend time with her. My thoughts and prayers are with Kim and the entire family.
