Celia Beneva Chatham, 83, of Blanchard, Okla., died Monday, March 10, 2014, in Oklahoma City. The daughter of Houston Austin and Lillie Bell (Henson) Ward, she was born in October 1930 in Tulsa, Okla. Celia had a deep abiding faith in her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Elk City, Okla. In her spare time, she enjoyed garage sales, playing Yahtzee and was a great cook. Celia was blessed to have raised seven children - her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her children and grandchildren. Celia is survived by her daughter, Karen Touchstone (Johnny) of Elk City; five sons Richard Chatham (Shirley) of Blanchard; Ken Chatham (Annette) of Templeton; Paul Chatham (Lynn) of Cameron Park, Calif.; Brian Chatham (Kim) of Blanchard; and Ray Chatham of Elk City; 21 grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and many other loved ones and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gerald Chatham; son, Danny Chatham; granddaughter, Carissa Beneva Touchstone; grandson, Benjamin Gerald Chatham; brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Dolly Ward; and two daughters-in-law, Lynn Chatham and Cheri Chatham. At publication time, a graveside funeral service and burial are scheduled for 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 18, 2014, at Pine Mountain Cemetery in Atascadero, with Rev. Howard Graves officiating.
